Welcome to our class homepage! Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in a city called Mississauga outside of Toronto, Canada. I grew up in a small town outside of Toronto. I spend most of my childhood in a dance studio learning jazz, tap, ballet and hip hop. I also studied hard and ended up going to McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
I completed a combined honours degree in Communication Studies and Sociology. As soon as I finished my degree, I came to Korea. I had a few friends here that had told me how great of a country it is. I immediately fell in love with the pulse of Seoul. It's always busy, there's always something happening, the people and food are amazing! It has certainly been hard to leave this place.
I took a couple years off in Seoul to complete a Masters degree. I found a great program that started at Seneca College in Toronto, in conjunction with Artevelde Hogeschool in Belgium as well as the University of Western Sydney in Australia. I was able to travel the world and complete my M.A. in Professional Communications. I learned invaluable skills and met many great friends from all corners of the globe.
Upon my return to Korea, I worked at various academies and elementary schools before working at Seoul National University at the Intensive English Teacher Training Program. It was such an honour to work alongside such prestigious professors and hard working students. I truly valued my time there.
I joined the Hanguk University of Foreign Studies staff in March, 2010. So far, I am quite pleased with the diligence of the students and the beauty of the campus. I am looking forward to this and many upcoming semesters.
Please feel free to leave any comments or questions on this page, or throughout the blog. I would love to hear from you, dear students!
